Instructional Highlights – Room 219

MIDLANDTIC AIR

The students in Mrs. Engelhardt’s class took a virtual trip to the Arctic! The passengers were greeted by pilot Marco as they boarded Midlandic Air Flight 219. Through the aircraft windows, they were able to view some of the arctic animals who live in this cold habitat. Princy noticed a penguin, a walrus and a snow owl floating on icebergs. Throughout their journey, they saw large footprints made by a huge Polar Bear.

Bryce informed his classmates about their size, their sharp claws and how they catch fish while swimming in these cold waters. Stacy came across a smaller polar cub who had soft white fur and blubber to keep him warm in these cold temperatures.

Bianca dug through the cold ice to share more facts about the Polar Bears’ habitat and diet. It was a trip we will always remember!
